上田 幸恵
幼少期を北海道で過ごし高校時代のデンマーク留学をきっかけに世界の教育実践に興味が芽生える。大学時代はカナダのBC州のビクトリアで心理学を専攻しながら移民学生・家族支援を学ぶ。大学卒業後は、東京・京都・ニュージーランドのオークランドで主に留学生のサポート業務に携わる。2018年に夢だった永住権を取得しカナダに渡航。夫とともに留学サポートのサービスを立ち上げる。現在は4歳と1歳の子育てをしながら、University of British Columbia, Okanagan School of Educationで教育学修士取得を目指し奮闘中。また、 同大学の院生コミュニティのファシリテーターとして勤務。多様な文化的・言語的背景を持つ子どもや家族への支援や包摂的なラーニング・コミュニティ作りに興味があり、多様な教育アプローチ・実践 (Social Emotional Learning, Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, Place-based learning, Transformative learning)を学んでいる。また、福島のNPO法人福島 SAND-STORYのメンバーとして砂場を通した子どもの発達や子育ての環境づくりに興味を持つ。子どもから大人まで多様な背景を持つ人々が集い楽しめるコミュティづくりを目指したい。

Yukie Ueda, M.Ed. student, University of British Columbia, Okanagan School of Education
Her interest in educational practices around the world was sparked when she studied in Denmark as an exchange student during her high school years. Completing her BA in Psychology in Victoria, she has worked in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Auckland, mainly providing support to international students. Moving to BC Canada In 2018, she started up Go and See learning Inc. with her partner, which led her to further pursue a Master’s degree in Education. She is in the first year of the M.Ed. program and also works as a Graduate Student Community Facilitator. Her interest is in various pedagogical approaches for children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, such as Social-Emotional Learning(SEL), Culturally Responsive Pedagogy(CRP), Place-based learning(PBL), and Transformative Learning. She is also a member of Fukushima Sand-story, a non-profit organization based in Fukushima that aims to improve child-rearing environments through offering spaces for sand play and create communities where all children have healthy environments to play.
